Ierusalem, Ierusalem, convertere ad Dominum Deum tuum.

This is a refrain the caught my attention in the first lamentation of the Prophet Jeremiah in the Tenebrae (Latin for "shadows" or "darkness"it is a christian religious service celebrated in the Holy Week. It is distinctive for its gradual extinguishing of candles while a series of readings and psalms is chanted or recited.)

Ierusalem, Ierusalem, convertere ad Dominum Deum tuum which translated  from Latin to English means Jerusalem, Jerusalem, turn back to the Lord your God. This not the cry of a violent oppressor. It is actually the cry of a lover to its beloved. In other words God is calling us to see how much God loves us. God loves us so much the God will/ an has laid down God life to show us the depths God would God to show us God's love for us. If today these words echoes in our heart, do not harden your heart.

We pray this Good Friday that God would increase the Dominican Vocation in Trinidad and Tobago.
