Leviticus, the Carnival 2013 presentation of The Word and Associates, was launched last Wednesday morning at the Assumption Church Parish Hall, Maraval.
After an opening prayer by Vicar General Msgr Robert Llanos and welcome by band leader Rev Derek Walcott, Msgr Llanos gave a presentation on Leviticus, the third book of the bible.
Msgr Llanos’ presentation was followed by a parade of the colourful costumes designed by well-known designer Chris Santos and Gregory Medina. The general opinion was that the Catholic band’s offering will be popular in 2013 and the band can expect even greater support next year. The band house is situated at 19 Taylor Street, Woodbrook.
