Ugandan priest Fr. Kaggwa dies in London

Dr. Robert Kaggwa, 55, a priest of the Catholic Missionary Society of the White Fathers (also called Missionaries of Africa), died in London, UK on January 9. Kaggwa was the Catholic chaplain of London’s Roehampton University, where he was also a lecturer of theology and religious studies for 10 years. According to the Nsambya-based provincial superior of the White Fathers, the Very Rev. Fr. Gerard Chabanon, Kaggwa collapsed as he climbed the stairs to his residence after conducting the day’s lectures. ‘Amazing son’ “He collapsed and hit his head hard on the wall. We are waiting for the post-mortem report to know the exact cause of his death. But we suspect he died from a heart attack,” Chabanon told Saturday Vision .
